NEWS! Here’s Our Scratch Brewing Documentary!

The debut presentation was in October 2023:

Saturday, October 21st at 3 PM upstairs at Hopleaf, there will be a free screening of a short film we made with Matt Meschede about Scratch Brewing. Brewer Marika Josephson will be on hand to answer questions and meet-and-greet. We’ll have several Scratch beers on tap.The upstairs room is only so big, so seating is on a first-come first seated

Michael wrote back in September: Hopleaf customers have probably noted that we are big fans of Scratch Brewing of Ava, Illinois and the hard working team of Marika and Aaron who make everything happen at their foraging brewery. We like them and their beers so much that we recently visited the brewery and and brought a filmmaker with us. The film he made shows a foraging day, and a brew day and gives a window into the methods and meaning of their work at this very one-of-a-kind brewery. We’ll be screening the film and brewer/owner Marika Josephson will be on hand to answer questions.
