      The excellent Argentine-style Frio Gelateria—which technically opened this winter on our block—is hosting their official ribbon-cutting Friday April 12 at 3pm. They’ll be offering free 2oz. samples from 3-4pm.

      They are just two doors north of Hopleaf and are open Noon to 10:30 PM every day. We are happy to have them on our block.

      Gouden Carolus Single Malt debuts in Chicago at Hopleaf! It’s distilled from GC Tripel, which we’ll be pouring, as well as the classic GC. We’ll be featuring, specially-priced: the “Belgian Handshake“— a neat pour with a Golden C. Classic; and the “New Fashioned“—with housemate cherry simple syrup and house orange bitters. Various other GCs available as well.

      We’ve accumulated a collection of coffee stouts in our coolers. All very  sought after and rare. We’re going to tap them all at the same time, at noon on Sunday, March 31st, the day before April Fools Day. We’ll have 2 special brunch items on the lunch menu, quiche and waffles.
